On location in isolation.
Well it's day one of my self-imposed isolation to work on several new and old musical ventures and I'm already driving myself slightly insane. After a sleepless night and an even more sleepless morning I have been endlessly tinkering in ideas and recording techniques. My personal favourite right now being turning a ukulele into a giant mic receiver and sending mandolin and vocals through it. Serious time has also been spent collecting samples of stamping, fireworks, crackle, water, toy pianos, old pianos, ghosts, old dorcia songs, 1920s piano and handclaps.
Getting a decent guitar recording sound out of what I have is here is also driving me insane, at this rate it will be a record of songs either played on or recorded through ukuleles.
But it's not all bad, several song ideas are slowly developing here, namely 'Bonfire', 'Buoys/Belles', 'Dnoma', 'Moscow' & 'Sigridottir', also decided I may have to name this record There Is Nothing Left And You Are Nothing, that is if I ever deem it good enough to put out. The picture in this post is the artwork I made last night for potential use. Over and out, peace and love.
